At Mira Lira, we believe that the development of your child’s potential is based on an accessible and loving environment. 

Children are able to choose freely from a wide range of play and learning experiences.

 We encourage curiosity and inspire the children to explore, investigate, discover, express creativity, and experiment through open-ended, hands-on learning along with Spanish language exposure. 

We also emphasize the development of strong self-esteem, confidence, feelings of independence and competence, and sensitivity to others.

          cognitive thinking, physical development, making and maintaining relationships, fostering creative ideas and innovation. 

Teachers observe and listen carefully to what the children express during their day to create a child-centered activities. Teachers plan activities and set up environments that will interest and engage the children in an authentic manner.  When children are immersed in their interests, they are able to become deeply engaged and invested in their play, allowing them to build skills, confidence, and new understandings about social dynamics.

In addition, we are committed to the importance of messy play in all our learning environments. Messy play (e.g., sand, water, mud, clay molding, play dough, glue, etc.) is an integral part of the children’s learning environment and provides the opportunity for hands-on learning experiences. It stimulates children’s curiosity through exploring, investigating, discovering, and experimenting, and also inspires creative expression by learning about different materials and properties. Messy play also supports children’s sensory development and tactile learning, strengthening their hand eye coordination and motor skills.

Our 100% outdoor learning spaces encourages exploration, creativity, and socialization. 

Our learning space is located in my 2 acre home property. 

Mira Lira focuses  heavily on the natural environment as the third teacher. The natural landscape of the yard is utilized to give children a unique experience and connection with nature. Here the children might engage in gardening, tree climbing, fruit/vegetable harvesting, among other things. Children are encouraged to get messy, take risks, and find adventure hidden within the natural world around them.  

The Tree House and nature inspired playground is a beautiful space for children to use their imagination. Children will have the freedom to pretend play, socialize, problem solve, improve communication skills, and develop their social and emotional skills. Our farm animals and plants provide so many ways for children to learn and grow.
